Duplicate orders and duplicate order acknowledgement emails

I have a new CC4.3.3 store and one of my customers reported receiving two order acknowledgement emails for the same order. The emails have different order #s but contain the same products. The admin panel shows the orders have timestamps one second apart. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this a new bug?
