New to CC have been using Zencart but decided to try out CC.

Got it installed ok.

Where is a source of set up info for the basic admin setup.

I don't understand your question, can you be more specific? The basic setup information is, well, there. Anything different depends on your specific requirements.

Sorry it was a bit unclear.

I thought there might be a list of what to set up like shipping weights, postage, taxes, payment, store details, all the must have stuff.

Tend to forget or miss stuff.

That all depends on where you are, your tax requirements and shipping supplier. Shipping tariffs you would get from your supplier, tax depends on what and where you're shipping to/from. There is not a lot else to configure. Your best approach is to go through the settings and change what you need to.
