What I have done to date has just been experimental, would like to dump everything and start anew. What makes me a bit hesitant is the following message: "If you delete this category its subcategories may become redundant!" The last thing I want is a bunch of redundant subcategories. Guest Posted November 24, 2004 Share Posted November 24, 2004 If you plan to dump everything and do a completely fresh re-install it won't make a difference really. All that means is that if you have a main category and delete it, the sub-categories will then become main categories, and if you have sub-categories in different areas with the same name it may cause a conflict in your product directory.
