adding categories problem

Hi

I have just bought cubecart4 after evaluating it for a short while.I have a problem in that when i have added new categories the web browser will not find them and returns a 404 message. I have edited the test category also and eventually deleted them all and any products but to now avail. I have looked at my FTP manager and cannot find anything relating to category, Has anybody experienced this and is there a solution?I have also just been told that I'm supposed to be demonstrating the website tomorrow, is there a quick fix?
