vokf
http://www.fairyflydesigns.com/cart/ Any input and/or suggestions are welcome A broken link on the following page; http://www.fairyflydesigns.com/cart/index....amp;productId=9 (view larger images) Whereas the following works; http://www.fairyflydesigns.com/cart/index....amp;productId=8 Personally, a Lightbox style pop-up would be better. Also consider watermarking these high-res images. They are high enough resolution to be modified and printed. There is a good CC3 watermarking mod (watermark is applied automatically by the server) I also don't think the adverts for "clever chick creations" on the sidebox is really suitable. You also appear to be selling physical items/downloads, and templates really don't really fit (IMO!) with the other products. If YOU are "clever chick creations", then set-up a separate store. Also...87 validation errors on the homepage!; http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://w...Validator/1.781 Visually, a good design for the type of products (baby/tags/cards etc), but does need some work technically - the above errors are mainly simple to fix. Not sure if you checked on other browsers? I suggest checking it using the free browsershots service. Jason

Guest
Very nice design - fits well with the products you are selling and I think will resonate well with crafters. I agree a popup for the larger images would be better - people can get confused when they have to click on back in the browser. I generally don't like watermarking (for those of us skilled in graphic design they are simple to remove anyway), but I agree you might want to for your full size images as it would discourage a casual user from printing or using your graphics. The only problem with the clever chick creations banner to me is that it is a bit too prominent and doesn't appear to be an ad. You might want to make it a smaller button and put it under the mailing list and anything else that is store specific. I would also move the view bag graphic to the other column near the registration/login area. You want that to be prominent so a customer knows where to go next after they have been shopping and registering and checkout is a natural 1/2 step. My only other suggestion would be to add some text to your home page - as it is right now, a search engine would pick up your list of categories for description as it is the only text on the page - everything else are graphics which they cannot read. I always like to put some descriptive text where a search engine can grab it. You might want to change your tag line to text instead of a graphic for example ("digital cards....")
