Guest laurestondesigns Posted August 23, 2010 Share Posted August 23, 2010 Hi I am trying to help fix a problem with the thumnail images creator in Cubecart v3 for the website www.winesavers.net Images used to be able to be uploaded direct to the product from the cms and would produce a thumbnail. Recently the original domain name was lost and the site was moved from www.winesavers.biz to www.winesavers.net Also the hosting company was changed maybe affecting the parameters. Since then another company has been involved and they have used the FTP site filezilla to upload multiple images. This has allowed the images to appear in the file manager and add them to the products but will not produce the thumbnail images. These new image sizes are massive and i have now reduced the image size to below 390 pxl. The images are still around 30-40kb. But I now cannot upload them to the products unless I go through the FTP site. If i upload direct to the product Cube cart acts as if the image has uploaded and shows no error but no image shows. I have read that there maybe a solution through buying and uploading the mod fixthumbs from Estelles mod store and continuing through the FTP site. But it would be great to be able to upload from the cms of cubecart again. We are now over 8 weeks since this problems began and customers are getting annoyed they cannot view the images. Any help on this would be greatly apreciated. I have not been able to check the parameters in the hosting site and will change them to 777 when i get the new details back from these supposed local experts... Thank you for coming back to me. I am now trying to check the chmod /images/uploads/folder but am finding it difficult to find on the new hosting page hostinguk.net. Guest laurestondesigns Posted August 26, 2010 Share Posted August 26, 2010 Ok, thankyou for the help so far. I have found the /images/uploads/ folder and changed the settings to 777. We now have the ability to upload images directly from the cubecart cms but the Thumbnails are still not showing up. I feel the images are missing the cubecart code to produce the thumbnails. Are there any solutions? Has anyone tried Estelles mod FIXTHUMBS could this be the answer? Thanks in advance for any help on this.
