customer misspelling issue

Hi, I have been testing my store(cubecart3), and I just noticed if customers misspell the state, the tax won't be added.

For example, I need to charge tax to California residence, and when I type "ca", "Ca", "CA" or "California" , the tax will be added.

But if I type "Carifornia" or something like that, the tax won't be added.

If I sell only within United States, I can simply use a pull down menu for state name, but since I am planning to sell internationally, I don't know what is the best way to deal with this issue...

If anybody has any way to solve this issue, please share with me!!
