Is there any way to get google to skip (or possibly just remove the words) "product information" and go right to the product description? It seems as if Google stops reading the page as soon as it gets to this. I think Google thinks all the pages are the same beyond that point. I have the title_mod installed and the name of the product shows in the title, but google doesn't seem to show it in the results. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Hi there Patrick,

google does not graft as many levels as you (and others) think...

The seo's noticed a change in strategy several weeks ago but

do not know exactly what this new method is. One thing is for

sure, the word 'product information' could be seen as an se 'spam

attempt' and therefore not further indexed.

At the moment google makes several indexing runs (revisits) to

complete the indexing of any site.. you could make it easier to

write a gadget like we did. I can not give you the source because

of the extensive amount of cash concerned with it, but think of this;

* catch and store the search arguments from your onsite se

* do the same with the referral search arguments from external se's

* use these 'words' in a text-mix that describes your site and or products

* study the 'Herrera script' i posted some days ago, this works fine!

* create a static area with those search arguments and text.. that's all

You can search the Net for other se strategies and maybe you will

stumble upon enhanced robot directives as 'revisit in xx days' and so..

One thing is sure; try to get some insight in revisiting from se's and robots

this will give you an instrument on writing a better strategy.

Hope this will guide you in the right direction..

Season's Greetings

Hank

(BTW se = search engine)

PS while you are at it.. check something called Froogle as well
