Thus a person in Alaska would only see those options available for Alaska. Anyone offer such an item? Regards, Scotty To elucidate...I think. Our problem is we can't use UPS or USPS efficiently for the variety of products we offer. So we're try to develop a system where a customer enters their zip code and then only custom shipping methods for that code pop up. An example: Say we have a 5 gallon bucket that weights 50lbs. It's one cost to ship to Alaska and another to New York. Pretty straightforward. The problem is we'll also get an order for an axe, a book, 2 gallons of finish, 10 pencils, a shirt and a chainsaw. Suddenly just figuring out how many packages this will be, as well as how much each will weigh can be a daunting task. So I'm considering developing some stock $ amounts for shipping a certain total weight, regardless of the number of packages and averaging these weights for different regions in the country.
