I have been working on my CC store offline, on a laptop running windows XP pro. It's great because it beats uploading files and testing only to find out you have major issues, and if you don't have a high speed internet connection, that really sucks. So here is where I went, www dot apachefriends dot org. I downloaded XAMMP, installed it, downloaded the perl add-on, and now I am running an apache server in windows xp, have phpmyadmin, cgi scripts, etc. Best of all, it worked right from the basic install. So if anyone wants to try it, it is definitly worth the time. It's not for everyone, but if your writing PHP pages, I think you have enough knowledge to set this up.
