installation problem, step 4

At step 4, I get these two messages:

"The config file could not be written."

What does this mean?

And

"Please ensure the file permission are set correctly to continue."

Even though they are set correctly.

I'm attempting to install 3.0 beta on a Linux server.

??

You need to manually set permission on the config file so the script can write to it

Config file needs to have 777 while editing..

If you are using a ftp program make sure all boxes are checked when setting permissions this will give the file a read/ write/ execute permission.
