Guest georgeh
Hi everyone, I have just installed v3 in a newly configured web space on my win2003 server. The database and everything appears to be working fine, I can log in etc. I can't get past an error that appears when I try to get to the admin menu. I get a status type screen with a message about changing the permissions on the global.ini.php file. No matter what i set these to I can't seem to get around it. I have tried to upload a copy of the file via an ftp client and then CHMOD it but i get a message saying the server did not understand the command. Is this really a permissions problem, or is something else wrong? I can't add products or anything as I can't get into the admin panel to do so. Very Frustrating, V3 looks good, I can browse the site and it looks great. Excelent job Brooky, hope you enjoyed that beer.
Guest georgeh
Update....... I now have resolved the problem of not being able to get the full admin section to work, a wrong path in the Global.inc.php file which caused the side panel not to show. Still getting the warning about the global.inc.php being writeable andf to change it asap, can't seem to set it to any permission that the script is happy with. any help appreciated with this.
