Where to edit Header height?

The default header seems to have a fixed height that is causing my custom header to repeat. Where can I edit the hedaer space hieght so the new header does not repeat.

Thanks for the good info - but I need more.

Simply reducing the header height to the 60pix of the new topHeader also hides the Search box and the login and register links.

Apparently their placement is controlled somewhere but I'm not finding it. Do you know?
