Many wish to change the stores logo which can be seen in the top right corner of CubeCart 2. This guide explains how this can be achieved.

Firstly you need to design a new logo using your favorite image editing software. If you do not have one there is a free trail of Macromedia Fireworks which can be downloaded from http://www.macromedia.com otherwise there are many other ones available on the market.

Once you have designed your company logo (if you did not already have on in the first place) you need to save it as a GIF with the name "store_logo.gif".

Now that you have this saved on your local machine you need to access the files on your server using an FTP client. To access these files you will need your FTP login username, password and address. The address is usually the same as the website domain.

Once you have logged into your server browse to the store file and locate the images directory. Once you have found this simply drag the image you created ("store_logo.gif") into the images folder on your remote server.

You should be prompted with a dialog box asking you if you wish to over write the existing file. Click "yes".

Now if you visit your store your logo should have been updated with your new design.

I have tried and tried but i cannot find anywhere in the images folder a named store_logo.gif to replace. Ihave even checked all the skins. Any help please ? i am ruinning 3.0

Thanks

This is true for version 2xx. In version 3.x.x it seems that the logo depends on the skin you are using, and usually, it is a background file. For example, if you are using the "killer" skin, the logo is in a file called: topHeader.gif which is in the directory: \skins\Killer\styleImages\backgrounds\

If you are using the "classic" skin, the logo is in a file called: contentBg.jpg which is in the directory: \skins\Classic\styleImages\backgrounds\

And, if you are using the "legend" skin, the logo is in a file called: topHeader.jpg which is in the directory: \skins\Legend\styleImages\backgrounds\

It would be really nice to have only one logo file, so you can change easily from skin to skin.
