According to the image, I see that the Sending Method is "PHP mail() Function".

Please switch that to "SMTP with TLS" (if available, "with SSL" if not). TLS is port 587, but because CubeCart's Mailer already knows that, I think you can leave the SMTP Port field blank.

    Test.

Tried that, and tried with the port both blank and filled, same failure.

The latest CC6 is supposed to tell you where the test failed.

If you are not running the latest CC6, then my best guess is that GMail is actively refusing to accept your test email because there are permissions that need be made in your GMail account settings pages.

There is a conversation here (a bit old, but still relevant) that discusses what you must do with your GMail account.

    This conversation:
    http://www.cubecartforums.org/index.php?showtopic=18548&hl=gmail

    points to this conversation:
    https://forums.cubecart.com/topic/47081-resolved-i-can-not-get-smtp-to-gmail-to-work-on-cubecart-5-help/?hl=gmail

This has supposed to have been implemented by now.

But, as the final comment in the first thread mentions, make sure your GMail can be accessed by an external application.

I am using outlook already, so it is setup already. I don't get any errors other than test failed to execute. I tried the other threads and it didnt change.

    Fail.docx

  3. I keep getting this error when I try to use braintree as a payment method:

    404 Not Found

The requested URL /index.php?_a=gateway&payment_error does not exist.

    Any ideas for the fix?

  4. Is there a way to allow use of the paypal 2 factor authentication with cubecart? I have a customer that is using it but gets server 500 errors and cannot complete checkout processes with it enabled.

  5. Is there a way to have cubecart not reject IPN if there is no order information? I have orders outside of the website so when payment is received it bounces. Paypal keeps turning off the IPN because of this.

  6. I keep having customers get this error:

    The following errors were detected:

    • Unfortunately there are no suitable shipping methods available for your order. This may be because the total weight of your order is too high or we cannot ship to your country. Please contact a member of our staff for any further inquiries.

I cannot make any sense to it since they basket weight is normal and I ship to other places in the same state. The best I can tell is USPS doesnt return a value when shipping is requested. Any other ideas?

  7. This happened again. Just lost a $800+dollar sale over the errors.....not real happy. here is the order:

It did not add a $435 item in the subtotal. I think this is a major issue to have with a shopping cart.

    1 x K1127 Loki Blue - 1806 ($85.00) $85.00
    1 x M1969 SpitFire - 1824 ($435.00) $435.00
    1 x L2050 Loki White - 1851 ($295.00) $295.00
    1 x J1026 Loki Cocktail - 1680 ($85.00) $85.00
    1 x I110 Loki White - 1282 ($40.00) $40.00
    Subtotal:$505.00
    Total Discount :$0.00
    Shipping:$50.25
    Total:$555.25

Now. this is the email confirmation I received:

    Item

    Quantity

    Cost

    K1127 Loki Blue

    1

    $85.00

    M1969 SpitFire

    1

    $435.00

    Shipping: (Hazmat_Shipping_Services)

    $50.48

    Discount:

    $100.00

    Subtotal:

    $520.00

    Order Total:

    $470.48

    They don't match.

  8. The sub-total adds the 26.95 + 29.00 + 16.99.

So, what may be the problem with items at 25.00 and 49.99?

Might they be out-of-stock? (Should not show in the list if so.)

Any plugins that may affect how the store calculates an item's price is to be handled?

All items were in stock. this is the first time it has happened, and the plugins have long been in place.

  9. Items

    1 x 50in - 54 ($26.95) $26.95
    1 x 38mm(P) - 26 ($29.00) $29.00
    1 x 29-38mm - 156 ($25.00) $25.00
    1 x Pro 29 Starter Set - 1239 ($49.99) $49.99
    1 x G76-4G - 941 ($16.99) $16.99
    Subtotal:$72.94
    Total Discount :$0.00
    Shipping:$11.85
    Total:$84.79

This is from an order placed on my site last night. The system did not add it correctly, and charged the customer the wrong amount. Any ideas?
  10. CC6 no longer puts (Powered by CubeCart) in the browser title -- unless I am missing something.

If you are refering to the "eCommerce by CubeCart" at the footer, find in the template main.php an include for ccpower.php and remove it.

Yes. That was it.Thank you. That fixed it.

  11. Working in admin, Products:

I think you should be using the "Filter" drop-down to get only those products assigned to a specific category (terminology).

Then, bring an inventory item up for editing and change the price (for example). Then save.

The list is still filtered by the category chosen. From that Filter drop-down, choose "Any". Normal operation resumes.

Is this what you are describing? I am not seeing a "Sort" by Category on the Product Inventory screen.

Yes.If I am in a filtered list, and make a change to a product, I can't filter to another list without going to the full list page. I think the filter should be filtering the database list, and if you change it allow it to update the list from the database without the extra step.

  12. If you use the drop-down category list to sort product by category and make a change to a product, you cannot change to a new category without clicking products first. Does anyone else have this problem?

  13. I will say adjusting the restrictions on what you are wanting to ship and where is not to be found in CubeCart's USPS shipping module. If there isn't something obviously available to you in your USPS account control panel, then a conversation with a tech support person at USPS would be my next step.

When you say "enumeration value", what is it you are referring to?

I'm looking for cubecart's rate request for USPS.

    RateV4Request / Package / GroundOnly

    optional

    Available when RateV4Request[Revision=’2’].

    RateV4Request[Service=’STANDARD POST’]

Use “true” when shipment contains mailable hazardous materials, live animals and other “surface-only” items. Please see Standard Post section at http://pe.usps.com/businessmail101/classes/packageServices.htm.

    string

    Default=false

    enumeration=false

    enumeration=true

  14. I think I found the problem. Standard post is restricted from zone 1-4, and allowed zone 5-9. The enumeration value is defaulted to false for hazmat and live animals in the api. I need to change this to true. Zones 1-4 allow standard post only for hazmat and live animals, which is what I am shipping. Where would I find this code?
