  1. I have used PayPal standard for several years but just recently started having an issue with transactions in cubecart saying "unspecified error" when there was no error with the transaction. 

    I decided to try Braintree and it's functioning, awaiting full approval, but the site is now sending out tons of emails for each order.  An email that we received the order, another that we received payment, the regular order complete email and digital download email.  With standard, only the last two were sent and that's all I need.  How do I tell the site to stop with the unnecessary emails?  Thanks!

What I've been doing is reassigning all orders placed under the incorrect email address to the correct email address and then deleting the incorrect account, only because sometimes the customer will have an existing correct account but manage to type their email incorrectly and set up a new account during checkout.

    I hope hope hope that a future update will include an email verification when registering accounts. I get a good number of ".con", "yahoo", "gmai", more than usual lately. 

  4. Sorry about that. So this is normal?  I know CubeCart gives us the ability to assign an order to a different account but I'm not sure how to accomplish that with my orders since they all contain download links.  Its frustrating that I seem to be getting more and more customers mistyping their email addresses when they register their account. Hmmm

  5. I sell digital downloads and I often have customers who register with a typo in their email and never receive order emails and are unable to login, etc...

    They usually end up setting up a new account with the correct information and then contacting us when they don't see any order history.

    I can then go in and reassign the order to the correct customer, save it, and it will show up in their order history but none of the download links transfer. Everything else is retained.

    Im not sure if there's a way to correct this or even better, to have customers double verify the email address field when creating an account.

Hi all, I sell digital products only and in the past I've had an option for customers to purchase our entire catalog on CD.  I'd like to save myself the expense of supplies and postage by setting up the option for customers to purchase something that would allow them access to download whichever products from the site within a specific time frame.  It would be like a gift certificate but instead of a set dollar amount, the code would be 100% off with an expiration date, valid only for the specific customer who purchased.  Is there a way to modify the GC system like this?  I was also looking at Noodlemans reward points system if it would allow me to set a product to have a very high number of set reward points without affecting everything else but I'm not sure if that will work.  I'm open to any suggestions!  Thanks!  

  7. My IPN is on but I haven't updated the return URL in forever. Maybe it's changed?  I see the IPNs going out in my PayPal history and the response is 200. I'm getting email receipts but about half of my incoming payments are missing from my cubecart transaction logs so I'm having to be constantly checking and manually completing orders.  I really have no clue why some are coming in and some aren't!  They're all there in PayPal but I know they are not always reliable. 

  8. I believe this is a separate issue -- it's only a handful of random orders and has been going on since before the PayPal issue. 

    In these orders with missing links, payment is processed as usual and the order completes. The customer sees a download button in the customer area but it says the file is missing. When I view the order in admin, I can see there is no link under the product. I can find any rhyme or reason. It seems to happen to a handful of orders each week. 

  9. I am getting the occasional order that is missing the download link. All of my products are digital and all the files are present. This is a totally random thing. Sometimes the site just doesn't create a download link for the customer. 

    Whats ive been doing is logging in as the customer and re-ordering and then going into admin and completing the order. This will generate the links but it's a pain!  It's not all orders but it happened enough to be an annoyance.

Is anyone else having an issue with missing transaction logs?  I sell a digital product that customers expext instantly.  a good number (but not all) of my PayPal transactions are not showing up in the transaction logs and the orders are stuck in pending. The IPN history on PayPal's site shows the missing transactions. This came out of the blue yesterday -- no changes have been made to the site.
