I have resolved my email issues through the help of BlueHost. Fortunately I was able to find the correct passwords. Blue host was very professional and informative as to the legal issues. I appreciate all your responses to my Mayday request.

I have a problem in that my programmer has abandoned the Cubecart project and although the website is functioning we can not make changes because we don't own this license. Without control and passwords we can not make changes. To add insult to injury, last week I had to reload an OS and subsequently all my software of which Outlook was one. I have lost all my POP3 email accounts associated with our website that is being hosted by BlueHost. My programmer set them up for me about 2 years ago but I don't remember the necessary server info and passwords required to activate them in Outlook to "receive and send". Is there any way Cubecart can help or is it purely a BlueHost.com issue? Thanks, Chris

Using Explorer that does nothing but refresh my screen and asks me to login again. I still can't get in. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

For the past week and a half I have been unable to log into my account on the first attempt. Only after multiple tries, sometimes going in on an alternate administrator I set up and then logging off and back on can I get in. Sometimes I just have to give up and go back an hour or so later. Sometimes I have to exit out of browser page and re-enter domain. Nothing makes sense. Any advice? And when I submit a "Forgot password" which I have not. It does nothing but return me to the login screen. What's up with that. Chris

Dirty Butter and Bsmither , There are other issues as well, the biggest being a 12 -15 second load time between pages and refresh rates in shopping cart. CC or Bluehost. USPS works when your logged in but not as a guest. Plus some USPS (post cards) rates show up on items that weigh under a 1# and I don't ship product at post card rates (.33). No "back to shopping" button. Cart does not always show in top right of screen. Little things but not professional. Open for suggestions. Just frustrated currently.

Dirty Butter, You have read other reply's so you know the situation. I appreciate your comments: I've been bouncing around restoring saved files. Is there any way of telling which one have most recently restored? The USPS module appears to be working now. Event though the scrolling screen is still off. But here is the info you requested. I have issues with not being able to provide you a 100 discount on both product or shipping. It's either or. I also use to be able to have you choose )Hand Deliver) to avoid shipping all together but still pay for product with a credit card. It's all jacked up. v5.1.4 (behind one) had troube with an upgrade and reverted back. bsmither, Regarding the store Setting Advance cache. Something tells me I'm not working with the skin template because I have no control over the side navigation "table of content" (if you will) and the social plugins for Facebook is turned off (X) plus the honeycomb back drop and logo never change. I have noticed that the "Find" button in the top left Search moves from below the "entry field" to just to the right of it and extends outside the rectangle. But it is now back where it belongs. So If I'm doing something, I don't know it. Yes the scrolling pictures script use to be in the "Source" before the gibberish. So I really have no idea. I just found where to find the different skins. It's set to Mica and Default Admin Skin is "Default" Mobile is off (X). Regarding Rebuild, I don't want to lose any orders, contacts or inventory. That rebuild and Database tabs look awful intimidating. Sorry to be a killjoy, I just wanted a site that looked batter and functioned better. I have 2 other pricing tiers, that have been disabled because the original programmer has issues he blamed on the original script write. It looks like I need to either buy (think its free) my own Cubecart account or just have another website built. I don't want to be a builder but this will be the 2nd time people make promises and don't deliver on all discussed. I'm not a rich man.

bsmither, Thank you again for the information. Update. I added a one line of text to the home page through the "content" tab Edit Document (not through the source code) and upon saving and refreshing, the scrolling screen totally vanished again. The source code has the same gibberish as before (scrolling script missing as previous) so I waited for the 24 hours as you suggested about the function of the cache, but it never returned the scrolling screen. I tried to restore previous saved copied I knew had it before but still scrolling screen. I did however gain back the facebook and testimonials in the side bars. I don't know, just frustrated. As for the USPS, It has worked in the past and stopped and worked and stopped. Now it's not there, so waiting for the update not sure about. Heck, I still have v5.1.4. and need to get v5.2.4 but not being the owner of the Cubecart account (rather a victim of a flaky programmer), I had many error messages when I tried to update to v5.2.4 and that's when the scrolling screen disappeared. It came back when I converted back to v5.1.4. So I'm a little reluctant to update. I can't afford to be without a page at all. I'm considering another builder and host even though I'm still tweaking this one. I own another domain name that's pointing to www.mastersguncare.com currently. This one is mess al the way around.

bsmither, Thanks for your knowledge. Unfortunately, your advice has me a bit hesitant because I really am an amateur and you hit it in the head "Hacking the html". It's nice to know the cache issue but I think I'll just let that be again because I'm not a pro. I know hosting is by BlueHost but It's not my account, apparently I paid for a years worth. I do wish I knew why the left side bar (Facebook) is not back when the ride sidebar "testimonials" and "featured" did show up again a few minutes ago. Maybe it will come back in 24 hours like last time. I'm trying to figure out also why USPS shipping module does not always show up like the UPS does. I really appreciate the rates on USPS and so do my customers. Everything appears to be activated and I have never touched that module. It just happens. Maybe it's product specific. I'm getting ready to ad more product and some merchandise, I will take a look at that but if you have any advice, I'd appreciate it. Maybe also, how do I change the navigation buttons (links to pages) on the right side bar. When I tell the document to "show on the page" it appears at the bottom, not the side. Thanks so much. bsmither, Your not going to believe this. Impatient as I am, I just went back and restored a different backup dated 11Nov13 knowing the source code looked like what I just sent you. But I did lose my Facebook link on the left and my testimonials on the right. But last time that happened, they came back in 24 hours or so hours. I don't know. My scrolling pictures are back and the source code still looks like the jibberish I just showed you. So I have know idea where the scrolling script went, where it's stored or why my site is back looking normal, (accept for the text that was above the scrolling pictures before I deleted the "Bold" attribute and turned it into jibberish. Confused but happier. I'll go check my forms I had changed and continue on. But rest assured, I'm done with messing with the home page. For know. It's hard to keep a curious mind away. Oh' well. I'm a biz owner that the actual programmer flaked on and I was trying to patch together the missing pieces as he is know were to be found and apparently sold my account to a local programmer that had issues with that programmer also and fired him. I'm being held ransom for a repair at an un-quotable fix rate. Just what I tried to void when I originally hired the first guy. And don't get me wrong, I was totally happy with the first one and settled just wanted a few changed several months into when I found all this out and the story behind it. Apparently he signed my account over and a non-compete which is why I presume he is not calling back. Okay, sob story over, on to the fix. The first web I ever built was through storesonline when you literally had to know HTML so I figured I knew enough to stay away from some of the script in the source code. Which I had successfully done for many additions of simple text and text placement. When I started this process I should have copied and pasted the original (but didn't). So long story short, Yes. There was a long line of script when I looked at the source code of the document but I could never figure out were the pictures were stored because not all of them were not in the sites Images folder. So, because I could not split the paragraph and add what I wanted to the "content" tab of the document I was forced to open "source" and manipulate there. That's when I got all harry. Many changes were made successfully until one deletion of a "bold" format and I lost the entire scrolling script. Here's the funny thing, that did not change the homepage other than wipe out the text I had managed to move to above the scrolling pictures. But like I said the scrolling was still there, even though it was not in the source code. Freaked out but still having pretty much the look I was happy with I dove into why the "Homepage" never had a title and, so I went back to the documents "General" tab and added a title and a URL that was always blank. Saved, and that's when the scrolling went away for good. Even when I went back to the "General" tab and removed the changes. So I simply grabbed the 11th backup thinking it would change back, but no such luck. Thus my post on this forum. Lost and now disgruntled business owner. I liked my website. I had just learned how to use Jotform to make the actual corrections I originally started out to make. Should have left the whole thing alone. The web functions just looks different. PS: I did read on the forum that sometimes it takes 24hr for the site to update. That's why the span of days between changes. I was waiting. Recently I was in Documents under File Management adding the Title to my Home page and upon saving, the entire source code changed and the script for scrolling pictures disappeared. How does this happen? Freaking out, I went to Maintenance and restored from a save I made a few days earlier and the source code was gone from there also. What is happening?
