Yes Alan, you have described exactly what I mean.
It is indeed against PayPal terms to show on your store or invoice that there is a surcharge for using their service. It should be noted that if you do you will break the terms and have no protection against chargebacks. PayPal probably intoduced this because of their link with Ebay as thousands of sellers were making surcharges.
This is from their terms.
".7 No Surcharges. You agree that you will not impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting PayPal as a payment method. You may charge a handling fee in connection with the sale of goods or services, as long as the handling fee does not operate as a surcharge and is not higher than the handling fee you charge for non-PayPal transactions. Nothing in this Agreement is intended to affect the legal right of a merchant in the UK to impose a surcharge for a debit or credit card transaction under the Credit Cards (Price Discrimination) Order 1990. "
The last statement " Nothing in this Agreement is intended to affect the legal right of a merchant in the UK to impose a surcharge for a debit or credit card transaction under the Credit Cards (Price Discrimination) Order 1990". is confusing because customers are actually using debit and credit cards, maybe someone can clarify what affect this has on PayPals terms?

You are very welcome :yeahhh:

No difference between a skin and a template, the skins are easily modified. There is detailed information here http://www.cubecartforums.org/docs/CubeCar...g-CubeCart.html
-
Version 3 skins are not compatible with version 4, you could save the redesigned skin and then make it version 4 compatible. It would probably be better to start with the trial version of 4 or is the 30 day trial not long enough?

Hi,
I have seen the courier tracking field on the edit order page and I was wondering how you would supply tracking for a customers order. It asks for a URL, would that just be to the couriers website, or can we actually display the customers tracking number which they can then go on to track it at the couriers website?
It depends, some couriers show the process of a delivery on a single webpage, you just copy and past that url into the field. Or you can use the url that takes you to the home page or tracking page of your courier, and then provide the customer with their tracking number via the "notes to send to customer" field in admin. The customer will see the tracking link when they log into their account.

This forum deals with the core software, if you need modifications to the normal functionality of Cubecart its best to ask here. http://www.cubecartforums.org/index.php?
A search in google should find you a company that specialises in integrating sage and cubecart.
-
Your better off allowing for it in your prices, ignorance is bliss.
-
You should have a file confirmed.inc.php in the includes/content folder if you don't then just upload a copy and see if it fixes it. the other one in languages should also be there so don't move or delete that.
-
Not an expert on these type of error's but it looks like the file classes/htmlMimeMail.php is causing a problem, I would re upload a fresh copy of that file to start with.
-
If you did a simple search you would find lots of posts about the zend issue. https://support.cubecart.com/index.php?_m=k...78&nav=0,17
the second error means the host does not exist. Check if you have the correct database host details

You need a mod, there is one for this specific task, ask here http://www.cubecartforums.org/index.php?act=idx
-
You get both an email and its shown in admin.
-
Its a bug, see here for the fix. http://bugs.cubecart.com/view.php?id=1186

You could try "delete orphaned thumbnails" through admin rebuild and recount and the rebuild them, or just use your ftp client, browse to the thumbs folder within uploads and delete the lot, then rebuild them through admin with correct settings.
-
You should move your old installation first and make sure it is working correctly on the new server before you go ahead with the upgrade. Once its working as it should, take another backup and the carry out the upgrade, personally I would ftp all the files and not extract the zip. You have to see the offer to upgrade as you install, otherwise you done something incorrectly.
-
In that case return the setting to /shop/ and https://www.theactivent.com/shop
Maybe a htaccess file, have you anything there from your old install?
Im lost for ideas after that, someone else may have the answer.
-
You could try removing everything from $config['rootRel_SSL'] and $config['storeURL_SSL'] if your not using ssl
By the way in cubecart 4 the admin is accessed with admin.php on the end of the url not just admin, cant see it making a difference because you apear to be getting to the correct page but just so its correct.
-
Indeed 0 means off. Do you have a link to your store so we can try?
-
Download the config tool and turn off ssl, you should then be able to get into admin.
-
Yes, you can upgrade to version 4 and its all taken care of on install. Note that you will lose any modifications you have made to your store. Instruction are contained in the readme file once you download version 4.

This a bug thats fixed in the next release. See here for the fix. http://bugs.cubecart.com/view.php?id=1186
Actually it looks like there may be other probs associated lokking at the bug report.
-
No but there is a list of what has been changed in the release post.
-
To use the add order in admin the customer has to already be in the database. So you have to add the customer first. Once you do this you can select the customer from the drop down top right and if you use firefox it automaticly adds the customers details, if using IE it doesn't (bug).
-
Well it works fine for me using IE7, I can see view basket, add to it and see the cart. Try clearing the cache in your browser.

It is annoying that generally everything in the US is cheaper than UK. You can get a retail UK version for just over £300 if you search round.
