Guest markyvuk Posted August 23, 2005 Share Posted August 23, 2005 I believe that this is correct. That is how the system works. You should get an email to say that a customer has placed an order. And then an email is only sent to your customer once you change the status of the order. Hope that helps. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest CCM-Blue Dragon Posted August 23, 2005 Share Posted August 23, 2005 normaly it schould sent a email with this message from the language file: $lang['front']['orderSuccess'] = array( 'inv_email_body_1' => "Dear %s, Thank you for your order no: %s placed on %s The transaction was successful and we will ship your goods at the first possible opportunity (if applicable). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: %s Subtotal: %s Postage & Packaging: %s Tax: %s Grand Total: %s ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Invoice Address: %s %s %s %s %s %s %s Shipping Address: %s %s %s %s %s %s %s Payment Method: %s Shipping Method: %s", 'inv_email_body_2' => "\r\nYour comments: %s\r\n", 'inv_email_body_3' => "\r\n~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\r\n Order Inventory:\r\n", 'inv_email_body_4' =>"Product: %s\r\n", 'inv_email_body_5' => "Options: %s\r\n", 'inv_email_body_6' => "Quantity: %s Product Code: %s Price: %s\r\n\r\n", 'inv_email_body_7' => "~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ %s ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\r\n", but it dussen't Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
marcelva Posted August 29, 2005 Share Posted August 29, 2005 In the 2.x.x version it was standard, would love to have this option available in the 3.x.x versions. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest estelle Posted August 30, 2005 Share Posted August 30, 2005 The system doesn't appear to send out an "order has been received" email. But it does send out an invoice after you have received the money and updated the order. You need to change the order status to Processing, and immediately after you have done this you can click on the link at the top, where it says: "The status of this order has been changed successfully. At this stage you can send your customer an email invoice and access to download digital products. To do this Click Here" This is my understanding, anyway. Not ideal, but it seems to work. Guest Boozer Posted August 30, 2005 Share Posted August 30, 2005 I am not getting any e-mail when a customer has signed in for an account or even placed an order. Can someone tell me what I did wrong, or what I have to set different to receive them? Kind regards, Boozer Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I still use that version, because the new 3.x.x. version does not satisfy me yet for that part. I would like a confirmationmail sent to the customer when they placed the order and at the same moment the order sent to me as shopowner. Greetings, Marcel Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
