Guest Posted September 6, 2005 Share Posted September 6, 2005 Hi, for some reason when I visit the Homepage of my Cubecart 3.2 shop the hompage text does not always appear, and only reappears if I keep refreshing the browser; It works fine in Firefox. Anyideas on what might be causing this? Regards **UPDATE** When I remove my page surround the main Homepage text reappears and stays, accept now the Latest Product and other main page titles randomly disappears on page load. I have modified my layout, but only to bring the shop upto 100% width. Also it appears the text is not disappearing as such, just going to a white font, if I high light the text it reappears to its proper color. **UPDATE1** Appears to effect the 'Classic Theme' as well, and I have now tested it on two computers and both have the same problems. All rights reserved.</div></body> </html> It does seem rather strange as not all of the catergory word is missing, sometimes its sliced in half, or L shaped portion is missing; nothing that I know of can be done by a coding issue? Guest Posted September 8, 2005 Share Posted September 8, 2005 Hi, I believe ive tracked down the cause of the problem, and it also effects the CC3 site demo; it appears that the Sub Category box & Latest Products box are casuing the issues, as they appear to be effecting the heading titles above them (e.g. Latest Product:). Im not sure how to solve it, ive tried shunting the sub cat box further away from the text heading but im hoping someone else might be able to fix it? Regards! The wording falls out of the box when you view it with the new internet explorer. I dont have this problem with firefox or the old internet explorer. Any help would be much appreciated. You can learn a great deal about how to deal with this problem by searching the forums using terms "peekaboo bug" and "ie peekaboo bug" You can also google "ie peekaboo bug" to find many pages about this issue. The problem is a bug in IE that occurs due to use of the css float property - and CubeCart cart use float: left; throughtout the cart, so this issue pops up in many stores from time to time when viewing in IE The workaround will depend upon where you are experiencing the problem in your store. For titles like "Latest Products," go into the style.css file and find .txtContentTitle, and add the property position: relative; to it. For broken borders, go into layout.css and find the .boxContent class and add the position: relative; property to it. There are other places this can crop up - basically anywhaere the float property is used you have a potential for an IE rendering problem.
