upload picture problem

This question and answer must already be here somewhere but im having trouble finding it,so......

When i want to upload product images the progam says:

Warning: imagegif(): Invalid filename '/usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/jaapfranke.nl/httpdocs/images/uploads/thumbs/thumb_katrelax.GIF' in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/jaapfranke.nl/httpdocs/classes/gd.inc.php on line 161

Success: katrelax.GIF geupload.

What the hell am i doing wrong or is this a bug

or is there another way to upload them pictures???

From another post awhile back:

1. Check with your webhosting service to ensure that GD is enabled on the server.

2. Check that you have CC set for the correct version of GD in ACP under General Setttings.

Problems as you describe usually mean that GD is not available on your server, or is not functioning properly

Best way to learn more about this is search the forum. Set search for 90 days or more, and search for portions of your error message (don't include colons or other special characters)

For instance, try searching for "gd.inc.php on line 153" or for "Warning imagejpeg" and see if you get more information

I got the best results searching this problem by using simply gd.inc.php for the search terms, setting the search engine to all forums and setting the time at no limit. This yields several pages of mostly good, and oft-repeated, advice :lol:
