Tried that... didn't work...

Maybe I should throw it in every folder? Although I assume the ROOT one would work... But, it doesn't... >=/

On mine i put it in the root folder, www folder and my image folder.

Mine now works in Netscape and firefox and now and again if im lucky in ie.

It also shows up if you add my site to your favs. :D

Firefox - just dump the icon in the www folder as homer said.

IE - why?! You have to bookmark the site first, it then picks up the icon after that.

Opera - haven't played with it much, doesn't show?

I agree, a simple thing that makes a site stand out. Got a nice animated thing going on on my test site :D IE doesn't like the animated one though - just static.

I put together a little tutorial for my nephew, with helpful links. Hope this helps!

You can even create animated Favicons, which I've never seen before.

Example: zastrow.cc

(Of course IE default security settings block favicons. You know cuase they're so dangerous.)

Favicons Arent fully supported in IE6 but now IE7 ha been released with full support there is no reason not to use them they add lots of induviduality for little time and effort
