Guest perlinajewellery
I have 3 products with the name & description of 'bracelet' but if I put this in the search it tells me 'Sorry, no products match the query 'bracelet'. Maybe your keywords were too common.' So I searched for 'green bracelet' which again is in a product name & description, but I get the same message. How can I fix this so the search actually works? Guest perlinajewellery
Which V4 version are you using? This was fixed in 4.1. Ah, okay. My admin panel indicates there are no updates so I was unaware there was one, I only downloaded this script a few days ago. Thanks for your help! Guest perlinajewellery
Well, I've just downloaded version 4.0.1 and did a fresh install but the search facility is still giving me the exact same problem.
Guest hennaboy
Follow the instructions in the bug report. You can change the way the search function works by adding the extra line and changing the search to boolean. ..if you want to change this, open includes/contents/viewCat.inc.php, and add the following line below the 'access denied' line: $config['searchMode'] = 'boolean';
Al Brookbanks
Please make sure you run MySQL 4.1 or higher. It has a boolean search system and is more clever than v3 as it lists the results in order of score.

Thank you so much!!! PS I have been using at least MySQL 4.1, this one may even be on MySQL 5, but I did have the minimum for sure.
