Guest OTD Posted January 18, 2008 Share Posted January 18, 2008 Hello Folks, Ive been using Cubecart now for approximately 10 months and have built up an mp3 store that contains a ssl for secure payments, the site is currently hosted on Heart and i now require to move the whole site onto a 1 and 1 server, the server is a windows 2003 dedicated server, and therefore i was needed to install php and mysql on it, i followed some steps for the php installation which i believe to be correct and have used the mysql installer 5.0, but nothing else. is this correct and what steps do i need to do now??? bsmither Posted January 18, 2008 Share Posted January 18, 2008 Dedicated box with Windows 2003 Server... PHP 4 or 5? and MySQL5. Did you install PHP and MySQL from 1and1's Control Panel, or did they give you a bare-bones Windows 2003 Server box? If from a Control Panel, can you manage the database from an application provided to you there? Or must you install your own MySQL Admin/Query utility? Did 1and1 give you a Host/User/Pass for your database? Does 1and1 lock your database against outside management, meaning you must remain within your own domain (hosted space)? If so, then PHPMySQLAdmin may be in your Control Panel as well. If not, then consider installing it on your hosted space. If 1and1 does let you manage it from a remote site, you might consider installing on your office computer the MySQL Administator/Query Browser from the MySQL folks. You will need to deal with the Secure Certificate. You will then copy over your CC files. I'm going to presume it's been customized somehow. If not, do a fresh install of the latest major version of your choice. (And do not restore the Config table on the new database.) There are tutorials on how to back up a MySQL database. Restore on the new database. Before you attempt to run your store, edit config.inc.php with the new site parameters. Get EDITCONF from this site and change necessary info in the Config table.
