I received an error on the admin page when attempting to upgrade my site to 3.0.20. Does anyone know what it means?

"Warning: MagpieRSS: Failed to fetch http://forums.cubecart.com/index.php?act=rssout&id=1 (HTTP Error: connection failed (11) in /home/partycom/public_html/classes/rss_fetch.inc on line 238"

"Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/partycom/public_html/admin/index.php on line 152"

How do I fix it?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thank You

Did you use the update for the version 3 or version 4?

Greetings,

Michel

  • 1 year later...

I have the same issue after upgrading from 3.0.15 to 3.0.20.

Any solution for this?

Thank you!

I 've just installed a brand new store from scratch (3.0.20) and I have the exact same problem:

Warning: MagpieRSS: Failed to fetch http://forums.cubecart.com/index.php?act=rssout&id=1 (HTTP Response: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found ) in /classes/rss_fetch.inc on line 238

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /admin/index.php on line 152

Looks like no one has a solution yet...

Cheers!

Well, my v3.0.20 installations aren't showing this message, but I suspect the problem is that Al has changed the forum software and the file it's looking for has changed. The code that is giving you the error message brings in the latest rss feed from cubecart.com and displays it in a block in your admin page. Not really vital and could be deleted. But I haven't had a lot of success figuring out what to do to solve your problem/delete this block. Tried a few things, all of which gave me syntax errors. I'll keep trying though and perhaps someone has another suggestion (or Al has a fix???)
