Apparently, jQuery released v1.9.0 on January 15th, 2012. The link used in early versions of CC5 asks for the latest version in the v1.X.Y series (currently v1.9.0 as of the 15th) by asking for ajax/libs/jquery/1/jquery.min.js. Later versions of CC5 increased specificity and asks for the latest version in the v1.7.Y series (currently v1.7.2) by asking for ajax/libs/jquery/1.7/jquery.min.js.
