John v
Hi all, Does anyone know if there is a limit on how many products I can hold in my inventory? Everything was fine up until around the 400,000 mark - now I’m getting HTTP ERROR 500 messages when trying to access my site. Regards, John
bsmither
Let's see if there are any clues in PHP's error_log. Technically, the MySQL database server is robust enough to hold millions of items. PHP is also robust enough to do an amazing amount of work. What may be limiting you is the amount of memory that has been allocated to running PHP scripts, and the amount of time that PHP is allowed to do work before timing out (on the assumption there could be an infinite loop). John v
Thanks - looks like it's a memory issue - this is what I've got :- [27-May-2018 18:33:46 Europe/London] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 14036426 bytes) in /home/XXXXXX/public_html/classes/cache/file.class.php on line
bsmither
If you are interested, we can try to determine what CubeCart was doing when it ran out of memory.

bsmither
I use a diagnostic script. Send me a PM with your email address.
bsmither
Curious to know if the descriptions you have given to your products are overly long.
