  1. This extension seems to be glitchy still..

    Today we have had more than one occasion where the response is

    Needless to say some lost sales and two frustrated customers on the phone :-(

     

  2. Sorry Al I didn't explain myself very well - there is a fee but it is only 1.5% across the board, there are no further costs providing you hit minimum sales. The minimum charge per month is just over £25 but if your sales cover this (approx £1700 per month @1.5%) there are no extras to pay.

  3. We don't use BACs as our main payment gateway but our business clients prefer this method.

    Credit card charges are also quite often less than 1.5% so considerably less than PayPal!

    Drawbacks to using PayPal
    • High chargeback fees.
    • Higher fees than a typical merchant (credit card processing) account.
    • Account suspension for terms and conditions (T&C) violations that can freeze your funds for months.
    • May take 2 business days to get your money.
    • Customer service can be hard to reach.
  4. Al, they probably need PayPal as you can't really run a business without it but so many of the other payment gateways are actually a lot cheaper from a processing fee perspective, particularly bank transfer which for us has no cost to the business at all!

I have reCAPTCHA disabled and today I have had two calls this morning from customers who after filling in their details at checkout, found that when they clicked on the 'secure checkout' button were unable to proceed!  I did a test purchase while they were on the phone and I too could not get past this stage...

    I had changed the config.xml as per yesterdays advice from @Al Brookbanks but after changing <csrf>false</csrf> back to <csrf>true</csrf> everything seems to be working again...

  7. All my IPNs suggest they were successful :nerves: Not one of these orders updated, nor did the payments from WorldPay!

    @Al Brookbanks this isn't just a PP issue which is why so many of us believe it to be a CC issue...

  8. Same here, manually updating orders, taking phone calls from worried customers as they aren't receiving emails, and their orders are still pending (until I get a chance to update). PP shows IPN and HTTP 200 😕

    The reason I think this was is a CC issue rather than a PP issue is because my other payment gateway is also not updating customer orders 😖😖😖
