  1. It took me 2 weeks of 20 hours a day but i had to go into each listing fix the category issue (new way to show master category and secondary categories) as well as go into images and add them from the directory manually clicking to make sure the star was showing next to every one. To date I am still several hundred products short in my store but have been having health issues making it hard to sit and work on them for more than an hour or two at a time and with my internet connection it is slow going. The worst part is some just won't connect right. Al and crew were able to fix some of it for me, others items I still had to delete and enter all over again. Sorry I never found a better fix. Jamie
  2. It has fixed the address issue but it didn't fix the Paypal issue which Al is working on. I've deactivated Paypal for now. I'd rather deal with customers who are upset paypal isn't an option than customers who are furious over an extra charge suddenly showing up. Hopefully it will be resolved soon. Jamie
  3. The answer I got on the address part from Al is If you login to your web hosting account and locate the phpMyAdmin database tool you can run the follwing query to fix the addressbook inconsistency. UPDATE `CubeCart_addressbook` AS `A`, `CubeCart_geo_country` AS `C` SET `A`.`country` = `C`.`numcode` WHERE `A`.`country` = `C`.`id`; We are going to try it tonight and see if that fixes the paypal problem as well. I'll let you know! Jamie
  4. Same problem. The only time I get emails is if the customer pays with Paypal or if I change the pending to completed. Jamie
  5. If we could search by item number that would be a huge help too! Jamie
  6. It has been a much discussed topic on how different it is to previous versions. It may have, but some a like me, often forget to check the forums. I kicked myself. I had trouble with the v4 uprade when it first came out too and should have known better. It really should be right there in the information, clearly labeled, when purchasing the upgrade. Like I said I'm too far to turn back but wow am I still having one problem after another. Had I known when I bought it I could have set it up on a subdomain, gotten it all loaded fresh, and saved myself 2 weeks of 22 hour days to get it reloaded during what started out as the busiest month for the year than went to zero for those 2 weeks ouch! I admit I'm still a bit frustrated, but I am really enjoying some of the changes. If I could get it all working right I'd be tickled pink! Jamie
  7. Glad I could help, It is one of the few things I've been able to figure out on my own. I learned html coding but have never really understood php or anything past that. My daughter has taken CSS and Xtml but she's no help being off at college. My boyfriend is a hardware tech who dabbles in php and coding so he can often help when he isn't working which hasn't been much lately. I may have to break down and learn this coding like I had to break down and learn more things than I ever wanted to know about hardware replacement, diagnostics and networking. I still can't say why we have to manually insert the picture links but at least the round about way works. Always do a test email first and you won't forget to change your logo link should you ever change it. I learned this the hard way last year lol. Jamie
  8. Thanks John but I paid for the software I was just hoping since the feature was there that it was part of what I paid for. I will just cut and paste all the links in manually. It will only take me a half hour or so. Glad to know, should I need to, there is a way it can be done faster! Jamie
  9. Well I can't find a static dollar amount or percentage but then I admit that I am having a rough time with the coding. If it were all in HTML I'd be set. When it comes to this new stuff I whine to my personal tech who has to fix what he can if he wants dinner. I am very lucky to have a good one for a boyfriend. He only dabbles in programming though so some of this is still outside his range of expertise and working full time doesn't leave him a lot of time to research and figure things out. I'll try the firefox plug in. I did just get an email from an international customer which may help explain what is going wrong. It IS the v5 software. I am having trouble placing an order. The first time was a little while ago (Order # 110810-114714-7971). Once I got to the PayPal section, nothing happened and there were no links to do anything and the order was cancelled because no payment was made. Tonight I tried again. This order includes the previous items and some extras. When I click on checkout or payment nothing happens and I am unable to complete the process. I have also noticed that the addresses on the order (Basket) page are incorrect but I have been unable to fix them – the address in the address book is, however, correct. The address issue has been ongoing from day one, it is on my list to put in a help ticket for but I thought it was a lower priority than it seems to be. It is causing business addresses to want to all be from County Armagh, Afghanistan or East Guiana or some crud like that. I'll keep trying and perhaps disable Paypal for now. The address still gets messed up for Credit cards but I can figure that out easy enough by looking at the billing address not the order overview. Thank you for the ideas! Jamie
  10. Still having the problem and it isn't on Paypal's end. Here is the example of what is happening. Customer orders item for 8.50 Shipping is 2.75 total is showing correct at 11.25 Order goes to Paypal and somewhere before it gets to them, instead of showing as order, shipping and total it shows a total of 11.25 then shipping says 4.00 or in the case of my last order for 2 items it showed shipping as 9.00. I've talked to paypal. It is not on their end. In 9 years I've not changed a single paypal setting and never had a problem. I've gone through all my paypal settings. The issue is on Cubecart coding end. Honestly the upgrade has been a nightmare and if I didn't want the group option to sell wholesale and retail through one shopping card I would have given up. My list of problems is long. Interestingly when I put in a help ticket and they fix one problem it tends to fix several at a time. I've just been going down the list from important issues to fix to annoying issues to fix. For example I'd installed the new htacess file yet still couldn't get the SEO URLs to work right. When the tech fixed that it also fixed the fact I couldn't print correct receipts for my customers. I started with 5.0.2 upgraded over the latest v4. I've since upgraded to the 5.0.3 and still having a lot of issues. Paypal being the most important to fix right now. Jamie
  11. I have the same problem when I try to use images already in the cart folders. I got around it by using images i dropped in other folders not related to my shopping cart on my domain. Jamie
  12. "It's v5. Nothing from v3 and v4 is compatible. " yeah that would have been nice to know before purchasing the upgrade but over and done with and too far to turn back. The way I fixed it was to go in and reconnect all the images one item at a time for the 1400 items I felt up to doing and I'll put 1000 more in later as I go. Some were not a simple edit adding the images either. 50% or so were deleting the item and adding it as new. Good luck! Jamie
  13. Mine doesn't either and here I was hoping for a fast easy way to do a new sitemap. Mine says error not rebuilt.
  14. I am sorry but I did the upgrade and not only did I lose a page or two of product but I lost ALL of my customer data except the week it was installed. I didn't catch it until earlier this week when I went to search an order that shipped to the UK 3 weeks ago. I've pulled the database apart. The install wiped it out. Several friends have also had this problem though at least their sites were small. Mine is 1466 items and had half of last years customer data still stored and all of this years... all gone.
  15. Thank you but I run several sites and all use the same paypal account. I don't have problems with any of them except the v5 install. I've been all through paypal. No settings have changed and I do not have sales tax set through them, nor would an 11.00 order come to 4.80 in taxes anyway. I'll reinstall payment gateways and see if that fixes it I guess.
  16. I'm hoping someone here has the answer because this one is costing me money. I uploaded v5 yesterday evening. A few things were wiped from my database but nothing I can't deal with. The big problem was that only a few of my more than 1000 products had images showing. I worked on it until 11pm then gave up and tried to reinstall my backup of v4. Well that didn't work either. I had sql errors so reloaded v5. Same exact problem along with a couple of others I've been able to work out. I did put in a help ticket for this and a staff member said the images file had uploaded to the wrong place. I did it twice, it wasn't me. So the staff member said they moved it. At 3:30am I had to get some sleep but when I got up I explained in the help ticket that the image issue isn't fixed. I've been having to go in and manually match them up and rebuild hundreds of items because when I try to pick the correct picture it doesn't want to accept it or if it does it uses the tiny alternate image instead of the main image. I'm ready to rip my hair out and with my internet connection am struggling to do it all over again manually. Had I known this was a problem ahead of time I wouldn't have upgraded and now I can't go backwards. The time difference is causing delays with the support desk and I don't have time for delays. The site I'm working on is http://shoppe.whitewillowstitching.com Jamie
  17. Wow I'm glad I only had a pending customer order wiped, a dozen or more images and 50 items that I've caught so far. Jamie
  18. This is just one of the problems I too am having. I'm curious to see the answer. Jamie
  19. I'm having a boat load of problems with v5 but the one that hurts sales (besides only a handful of 1000 pictures showing up) is that when a customer checks out with Paypal it looks good in the shipping cart but when they went to pay there was somehow a 4.80 extra charge. I have no idea where the charge is coming from. Help please! Jamie
  20. This is for version 4.3.9 > *if you are getting the error then you need to search for this code* htmlentities($results[0]['prod_metatitle'],"ENT_QUOTES","UTF-8") and change to this... htmlentities($results[0]['prod_metatitle'],ENT_QUOTES,'UTF-8') Regards, Andrea I've got the same error but I don't have that line in the code anywhere that I can find nor can notepad, word pad or excel find that coding to replace it so what now?
  21. Thank you Ian, Turns out the new FTP program I'm using wasn't set to Binary. I've never used one that gave me other options before which is why I ran into the problem and was so confused by it. Now to fix the other problems I'm running into. All minor Admin issues. Hopefully this helps someone else from the same panic I went through. Nothing like customers calling asking if I've gone out of business! Jamie
  22. I just upgraded to 4.3.1 and everything looked great until after I clicked the upgrade button. When I clicked the go to store front page I got this error Fatal error: Unable to read 4438 bytes in /home/wws/public_html/shoppe/index_enc_zend.php on line 0 When I tried deleting everything and reloading my back up the only option I now get is to do a setup which I DON't want to do. I don't want to start over! I tried reloading teh index_enc_zend.php backed up file again but it doesn't fix the error. Help?
  23. I'm having the same exact problem with the API worked for months then this past week won't run a credit card and no one has the answers. I was about to buy it but now I'm thinking of trying some other cart. I've lost 89.00 in sales. Some thankfully I've been able to get their credit card faxed in or taken over the phone.
  24. Two days ago cube cart worked great. CC payment was no problem. I have Paypal Pro. Yesterday suddenly all customers (and myself while testing ) would get is error did not go through. I have even had Paypal test it. Direct credit card payments are not even getting out of cubecart to get to Paypal's end per the tech. I then tried setting it up with a friends service info for another gateway and still it isn't leaving the cube to make the API calls. This is a huge problem. Any ideas how to fix it? Thank you, Jamie www.WhiteWillowStitching.com
