remove product code

can anyone tell me how to remove the product code from being displayed on each product page and also in the quick serach in the cart menu.

Not sure how to remove it in the search, but you can edit the viewProd.tpl (in skins/yourskin/styleTemplates/content) and delete the line where it calls the product code line:

<strong>{LANG_PRODCODE}</strong> {TXT_PRODCODE}

Just search through your files for the variables

{LANG_PRODCODE}

{TXT_PRODCODE}

I think it is the first one you want to remove, and not the second one...
