Somehow these 2 are at "loggerheads" with each other.
vokf
Hi, To set file/directory permissions, you'll either need to use a control panel (Plesk etc, if your hosting package comes with one), or ask your hosting provider to do it. You'll probably find you need to change /images/uploads and /images/uploads/thumbs to allow you to upload images. If you don't have a strong reason for using Windows hosting, you'll find your life much easier by using Linux based hosting, this will be of comparable price and often cheaper. bsmither
I'm using a Windows Server... Set Back File Permission...FileZilla, as well as any FTP program as far as I know, cannot change directory security permissions on a remote NTFS file system. (But I could be wrong.) Instead, you will have to take remote control of the Windows server (RDP, VNC, VPN, etc) as an administrator and using the Properties page of the directory where global.inc.php is in, set it to Read-Only (or maybe Read/Execute) for IUSR_Machine name. This is how I remember doing it when I installed CC on a Windows server.
