sirius.sam Posted December 24, 2015 Share Posted December 24, 2015 Dear Team,I am new to cubecart 6, I was just following some tutorials and created a cubecart category but when I clicked on any of the links in the client homepage navigation bar or on any other link there,I get directed to "localhost/my_cube_cart/<some_page>.html" with an error message of "404 page not found". bsmither Posted December 24, 2015 Share Posted December 24, 2015 This is very likely caused by CubeCart not being able to write a file named .htaccess to the root folder of your store, or even if that file is present, the web server is not configured to use the "mod_rewrite" directives in it.Please verify there is an .htaccess file in your CubeCart folder. Your tips worked like a charm for me, thanks a ton. .Steps I did:1> Confirmed if .htaccess file present in the root folder.2> Enabled 'mod_rewrite' (it was previously disabled) from my WAMP's Apache Modules.The issue is now resolved.
