Deleting categories and Sub categories

Hi

I'm a complete novice at this and have never set up my own website before but am finding cubecart relatively simple to work out with the aid of a friend.

One problem I do have, and again this is the novice in me, is that when I create categories and sub categories I'm adding them more than one without realising it until it's too late.  Is there any way of deleting the others so I'm only showing one category?  I also seem to have a habit of adding the same option set too and would like to be able to delete the duplicates.

Can any of this be done so that I don't end up confusing myself?

Hi Lyndseydee76! Welcome to the forums!

There should be a trash can icon to the right of each of your category/subcategories. IF there is a product listed in it, however, it won't let you delete it. You'll need to move the item to another category first.

There should also be a trashcan icon to the right of the product option choices as well.

Thank you very much for your quick response.  I managed to find the trash can for the option set so will look for the trash can next to the category/sub categories.
