littlejim
Hey Guys, We are looking for a Cart that will work with an existing website. We do not want to use templates for our pages. Does this cart offer that feature? To be clear. We want to only install payment buttons on our existing web page that will link to the cart. bsmither
In my opinion, CubeCart is a complete application. Although there are hooks that can catch AJAX requests and deliver processed data, CubeCart is not a library or restful API, or anything like that. littlejim
No, We are looking for a shopping cart for our existing site. Why would we want our shopping cart provider to design our site for us?
bsmither
"We want to only install payment buttons on our existing web page that will link to the cart." By payment buttons, do you mean a method of taking your visitor directly to a screen to enter credit card details? Or do you mean a simple link to a specific page (for example, www.littlejim.com/store/interesting-product.html) that shows the target item with its description, prices, options, with a means to afterwards make payment? If a simple link from your main site to a cubecart installation in a subfolder, then, yes - absolutely.
littlejim
Thanks for the help. This is exactly what I am talking about. Many other Shopping Carts have this feature. It allows you to simply use the cart on your existing web page. It will create a code that you paste into your website. Some carts even give you a just a link so you can custom make your own buttons. https://www.shopify.com/lite Anyone interested in Shopify please keep in mind if you do not use their merchant account. They will charge you 2% of every transaction you process through another gateway using their cart. https://www.shopify.com/pricing Edited May 1, 2018 by littlejim
