At this moment there are still discussions on how to handle these patents, however... some of the claimed patents (as they are in the document you gave us a link for) ARE questionable. There is and allways be a copyright on even mentioning the VISA brand f.e. The transaction and using the Visa brand however, will be granted by signing a contract (with your payement provider) that states and even promote the use of the Visa brand as long as you do bussines with Visa. I would not make a big deal out of those Claims... otherwise claim yourself a patent on Smoutebollen and get rich.. Cheers and Have a nice one more background info... So one of the claimed patents (Shopping Cart) is a way to collect shopping items and 'park' them before paying.. (to keep it simple) this can be done in several ways... visible or unvisible The payment methods are even Patented so... major Banks even provide you as a Shop owner with an Unlegal Payment channel when you read the Claims correctly!
