Guest
I can't get past step 2. The database is never written. Should global_registers be ON or OFF? Thanks
Guest robgo777
I am sure there is someone here who can charge you to help fix this problem, but let me give it a try for FREE... It is actually register_globals, and it should be On, however I don't think that is what is keeping you from completing the install. Check your database access information, make your required files are set to 0777 permissions, and be sure to use localhost as your database host. If you are still having problems, please post the error you are getting. Rob

Guest robgo777
It is actually register_globals, and it should be On Actually, Verson 3 requires register_globals to be OFF Thanks for your help, your input has done nothing to help this person. Oh, by the way, perhaps you should check the installation guide as Register_Globals is required to be ON you moron. Guest
robgo, kindly refrain from resorting to abusing other members who are trying to help. Cubecart 3 is in fact designed to work with globals OFF.
Guest robgo77
Whether they are required or not, it works fine on my machine with them ON, either way, I am just quoting the user guide the developer created.
Guest macahan
Had the same thing with version 2.... Stuck on step 2. When setting register_globals = ON everything works just fine.
Al Brookbanks
It is because you are running PHP5. You'll have to use our manual install script: https://www.cubecart.com/build/ 3.0.3 has fixed this issue and has improved windows support which will be released in the next few working days. Al Brookbanks
Had the same thing with version 2.... Stuck on step 2. When setting register_globals = ON everything works just fine. Different problems in each situation. v2 = Register Globals Off breaks install script v3 = PHP5 doesn't work with install script. But... as I just said this will be fixed in 3.0.3 :)
