Guest
Well Im still not having any luck I have no htaccess file and I still cant upgrade. I now get this message.... MySQL Error Occured 1045: Access denied for user: '*******@localhost' (Using password: NO) Any ideas? thanks in advance! You need to make sure the DB user you've got has CREATE and/or ALTER priveledges. Checking in your hosting config area.
Guest
I have full access and the store connects fine, just the upgradescript is not working. (Using password: NO) Should this be using my password that I entered into the store confieration? Cheers
Guest
No, that's what it says instead of your actual password. It's a security precaution. I did a clean install, so I don't have any experience with the upgrade script. If you've got the permissions you need and you are sure the username/password are correct, then this problem is out of my reach Goodluck. Oh something dumb you may have tried is to reupload the upgrade files.

Just plain prevents it from working. There is no need for security in the mainpage anyway. the htaccess should say something more useful like: DirectoryIndex install/index.php
Al Brookbanks
well the use of : "php_value arg_separator.output &" doesn't show me any security. Just plain prevents it from working. There is no need for security in the mainpage anyway. the htaccess should say something more useful like: DirectoryIndex install/index.php The .htaccess it to make php use & instead of & in url strings which makes your store XHTML Valid. During testing we never came accross this problem and now the descision has to be made whether to leave it in or take it out. It has absolutely no security functionality at all. Guest russkarr
the install script stops at screen #3 with no "submit" button to carry forward. Manual system just generates a 403 Installed on 2 different servers, one Windows 2003 and that at least is playing nice to a point where the Linux server is 500 all the way~ RESOLVED using 3.0.1 and manual configuration generator process
Guest
Hi sorry for not actually reading the htaccess file, I always make my own and I only ever needed the file for security reasons..... my host Managed to get it Cubecart working, it seems I had a server error which was wierd... But all fixed Thanks

Guest russkarr
quadraphonicpress, Make sure your using a 3.0.1 install delete ALL previous files before copying up new use the configuration builder at: https://www.cubecart.com/build/ Use the above, NOT the default install page from your site If you followed the instructions from the generator page above, you should now have a functional install cheers! Guest [email protected]
Hi Guys Many thanks for all the info above. It has guided me through my first ever install and the cart is now running. Has anyone else had a problem with graphics that appear to be missing? Regards Rory :)
jerseyjoe
Huh? How do you know they are missing if you don't seee them? Reminds me of one of Odgen Nash's better items . . . "I met a man upon the stair A little man who wasn't there He wasn't there again today. Damn, I wish he'd go away." So which graphics are not there? Guest [email protected]
Hi JerseyJoe There is no "headerbar" at the top. V2 as I remember had a cubecart Graphic which you could then replace with your own but v3 does not have anything. I guess it could be intentional but I think its unlikely. There are also missing graphics in the backoffice and login pages. Regards Rory
Guest [email protected]
Hi JerseyJoe Ignore my last I have resolved the problem with a reinstall. The fault was mine as I had installed on a temp url while the space was propagating and it appears that it screwed up the install Oh well once learned never repeted.
