Upgrade beta to 3.0, then 3.0 to 3.0.1?

Clarification on update from beta to 3.0 final, then update to 3.0.1?

Downloaded the 3.0.1 package.

We currently had 3.0 beta installed.

Did the update 3.0 beta to 3.0 final.

Uploaded everything in the upload folder, except the files

/includes/global.inc.php

/language/*/home.inc.php

/language/*/config.inc.php

/modules/:w00t:/config.inc.php

Worked great! Everything comes up.

Now after this update 3.0 beta to 3.0 final, if we go to the admin, it says version 3.0.1.

But instructions say this was an update from 3.0 beta to 3.0 final.

So do we need to run the next stage 3.0 to 3.0.1 update?

If we run the next stage 3.0 to 3.0.1, do we need to upload the scripts again (except for includes/global.inc.php)

If we upload again (as per the instructions), this would replace the files

/language/*/home.inc.php

/language/*/config.inc.php

/modules/*/*/config.inc.php

or

did the first update 3.0 beta really take us to 3.0.1 as stated in the admin?
