Guest jeromas
I have seen this questioned asked in numerous posts, but no one seems to have an answer: what variable names are passed back to CubeCart after an order is completed? In order to successfully integrate idevAffiliate with CubeCart, users need the following information: Order Amount Variable Name Order Number Variable Name An answer would greatly benefit many users who have chosen to use this great piece of software! Guest Onlinewebpublisher
Hi Jeromas, I am trying to figure that out myself, I just bought idevaffiliate and cannot make it work even if I used the new fix from brooky http://www.cubecart.com/site/forums/index....l=idevaffiliate I am not even sure if we need to use that variable as it says in idevaffiliate you should use the automatic integration for cubecart sites. In my cubecart, I tried putting and removing trailing slash in the url idevaffiliate module but it still did not work. I wish somebody can shed light on this. The idev software is not that cheap, I have sent 4 tickets to their helpdesk for 2 days now, and nobody has replied. Talk about support.. Al Brookbanks
If you want it to work on the print order form you'll have to uncomment the code at the bottom of orderFrom.php
Guest
Hi I also just installed Idevaffiliate and all works fine except I've done a test purchase and the sales commission is not being recorded. Hits are being shown, so that seems to be working - I can only imagine that it's between CubeCart and Idev that the sale is not being recorded. 1) How does the setup to Idev need to look in the CC admin CP? IE the URL to Idev in CC 2) When does the sales commission get recorded? On submitting the order or, on approval of payment by the gateway, or when the order is completed??? Any help would be a bonus. Brendon
Guest Onlinewebpublisher
I have the same problem as Brendon, and there seems to be no reference on how to configure this in cubecart. To top it all off, I sent 3 tickets to idevdirect, and even called them today (Im in UK) to sort this out, no replies on the email tickets and no answers on the phone. This is very frustrating, I paid $100 for idevaffiliate, even more expensive than cubecart's license and you get crappy support. By the way, I already used brooky's idevaffiliate fix, and still doesn't work. I am getting this error in idevaffiliate admin: Processing Error! Check Cart Integration & Processing Code Configuration I'm sure this is just a configuration issue, whether in cubecart or idevaffiliate. If somebody out there managed to use idevaffiliate with cubecart, please give us a hand. Thanks very much. Guest
Hi Well I asked for support from Idev and their answer was: Cubecart has a fix in their forums. I don't recall the link off hand but check their forums for an update to one of their cart files. Is the update they refer to the new tracker.inc.php file that Brooky posted at http://www.cubecart.com/site/forums/index....l=idevaffiliate? I saw this and downloaded the fix, but took a look inside the file and nothing appears to have changed from the tracker.inc.php in CubeCart 3.0.8 So I didn't bother updating, but I'll try now in case I missed something - will let you know if it helps. Guest
Hi 1) Yes, I did an auto integration. 2) Yes, my url was like this: http://www.yourdomainname.com/idevaffiliate/ It should be /idevaffiliate/ 3) Check that you have the latest patch from brooky of tracker.inc.php installed 4) I wasn't getting the error message you mentioned above (or any error message)... so I don't think it is related to the problem I was having. Where in the Idev Admin are you getting the error? 5) What version of CC are you using? Brendon Did you do an automatic cart integration in idevaffiliate by the way? Guest Onlinewebpublisher
I did the auto integration as well. I also entered the url you mentioned and made sure there is a trailing slash. I also updated my copy of the tracker, and I updated my version to 3.0.8 hoping it will fix it. When you click on the Approve Commissions, you will see the list of sales and commissions, in there I get the processing error. What do you think? Thanks I have the same problem it records the visit but not the sale. I have checked and double checked all the code and followed the advice from others but still no joy! I don't get any warning messages, so it seems that all is ok apart from the sale tracking part? Helpppppppppppppppp! Spent 3 days on it now! Any advice would be welcome Gary
Al Brookbanks
The best way to help resolve this it to paste there the HTML output of the confirmation page. Then we can see what code is being produced to track the affiliate commision. We can then see if the variables are in place and if the URL to iDev is correct. Al Brookbanks
The url iDev is correct but no price shows up in the affiliate URL or order number. Does the order details store in the database fully? i.e. Does it have an order number and price? Below is the specific bit of code in question:<!-- begin iDevAffiliate Affiliate Tracker --> <img border='0' src='http://www.thedesignsdivision.com/affiliate/sale.php?idev_cube_1=0.00&idev_cube_2=' width='0' height='0'' /> <!-- end iDevAffiliate Affiliate Tracker --> It should be something like: <!-- begin iDevAffiliate Affiliate Tracker --> <img border='0' src='http://www.thedesignsdivision.com/affiliate/sale.php?idev_cube_1=10.99&idev_cube_2=XXX-XXX-XXX' width='0' height='0'' /> <!-- end iDevAffiliate Affiliate Tracker --> This means that the variable are not present for order number and price. What payment gateway are you attempting to use this in conjunction with?
Guest DesignsDivision
I am using PayPal IPN, CC version 3.0.8, PHP 4.4.1 and MySQL 4.0.16. The order does show in my database, order I.D., customer name, address, product total, sec_order_id, ip, time, email, etc. It is strange because the info appears to be coming back from PayPal because I can see the dollar amount in the address bar, unless that is determined by the order number. This is driving me Thanks for your help.
Guest DesignsDivision
Is it possible that the "Processing" (sale amount) "Error" (commission amount) messages we are receiving are due to the status of the sale being "Processing" instead of "Completed"? If so, how could CubeCart communicate to iDevaffiliate when a sale has been completed? Is this possible with a bit of programming? Is it possible that the error is in the coding in the confirmed.inc.php file? At this point in my career I am not really a PHP coder and I really really need to get this operational with CubeCart. My affiliate program is due to launch at the end of the month which gives me one week to get this working. Can someone please help??? I'm literally over this. Guest DesignsDivision
Hallelujah it works!!! I truly hope this helps everyone else too. My problem was with PayPal IPN. Once I turned off IPN in my PayPal account and changed from IPN to "Standard" in the PayPal payment gateway in Admin, iDev worked. Perhaps someone can figure out why PayPal IPN and iDev don't communicate well. That would be grand! At least I can track sales now. :)
Guest mfauveau
I think this is because ipn is an autoresponse payment method (the customer doesn't need to come back to the store to confirm the order). So... actually, when the order is set to processing upon the paypal server auto response : cubecart reset the basket value of the customer session after changing the order status in database. When this is done, if the customer hit "back to store" in paypal, there is no order information in his sessions data and this is why iDev doesn't work. In fact that should be a problem for every mod that use an auto response method.
Guest DesignsDivision
If that's the case, then I suppose that PayPal IPN would not be the recommended method when using an affiliate program.
