Household 6 Designs
I upgraded from 4 to 5 with no issues and everything seems to be working like a charm EXCEPT the categories. For some reason some were active and some were not. I activated the ones that were not, however; those that were not activated, you cannot choose them to be listed as a parent category (they do not appear on the drop down list), also when they are activated any products that were in those categories no longer shows in the admin area under products. You also cannot remove the products from those categories as those categories do not show under edit product >> categories. You cannot delete the category because it says that there are products assigned to it. At this point I would be more than happy to just delete the categories somehow and then re-add them. Dirty Butter
I hoping it would be something simple - I changed Carter's to Carters, brands with &, etc. to solve some problems I was having. I hope someone can help you.
WhiteWillowStitching
That is one to submit a help ticket for. I had the same problem when I went from 4 to 5.
Household 6 Designs
I was hoping to not have to use support credits =) Can you tell me how you fixed the issue? I am assuming this is some sort of bug because this happened when I upgraded from version 4 to 5 as well.
Dirty Butter
Can you go into the database tables and find or assign the Category number from there and set up the correct parent tree that way? It's not ideal for sure, but might be worth trying. It would involve several tables.
Household 6 Designs
Ok I just deleted them from the database and then deleted the seo url path for each as well. Then recreated them. Kind of a pain but at least there we only a total of 6. Now I just have to reassign the products to them.
