M. Smith
I want to actually RUN A SALE (not just change prices) with original prices crossed out and new prices in red, but only for a particular category. Is this possible? TIA!
bsmither
The current code in CubeCart 5.2.1 does not have the choice of a sale mode by category. However, adding code for that capability shouldn't be too difficult.
M. Smith
Do you know if there's a mod for that? I'm not a code writer myself.
bsmither
There is this: http://www.cubecartforums.org/index.php?showtopic=15669 but be informed about Goober's responsiveness to problems.
M. Smith
Thanks. Tried to go to their site, but got a bunch of error messages. Not sure what that's about. My husband really wants to have this function and is trying to get me to switch shopping carts because of it. I really REALLY don't want to do that since I have spent several years learning CC and still prefer it to other carts that I've tried. Do you know if there are any plans to add the function in the future?
bsmither
I do not know the future development track of CubeCart. (The error messages are the result of a known situation. Just scroll the web page down to get to the product details.)
Dirty Butter
IMHO Bsmither's caution about Goober's customer support history is well advised.
