sean1688
Can someone please help? I have been working on this for several hours but with no progress. I just upgraded from V3 to V5, the website seems to be working, except when I tried to add an item to basket, it will show that it's in the basket, but when I click to view the basket, it always says it's empty. the website is www.a1hardbags.com
Al Brookbanks
In the stores settings under SSL config please make sure the cookie domain is correct. Clive saved regardless. Then clear your cookies and try again. All should then be fine.
sean1688
what should be the correct cookie domain? I played with it and nothing seems to make a difference. If I disable SSL, the view basket works fine. I also noticed that after viewing the basket, none of the links work anymore because it put all the links under the https domain. Al Brookbanks
We'll need to take a look. Please submit a support ticket if you require any further assistance maybe SSL is setup wrong.
sean1688
could shared SSL be an issue? that's what the hosting company is telling me. we were using shared SSL for V3 with no problem, we also have another website on v4 with shared SSL with no problem
Al Brookbanks
That is definitely it. For security reasons CubeCart will not worked with shared SSL. It can be made to work with it but then session data needs to be sent across domains which is dangerous. You need a dedicated SSL certificate but don't fear as they are peanuts cheap these days... http://www.ssls.com
sean1688
Thank you Al! having a dedicated SSL for the domain name resolved the issue.
