  1. Yes that's a good idea, I never thought of creating a custom skin, can I do a copy and paste job from the Foundation Skin I altered to make it a new one before upgrading?
  2. Hi Guys, I have quite a few V6 Cubecart 6.0.8 stores and was wondering which files have changed from v6.0.8 to v6.0.9 please. Also, because a lot of the styles were changed to affect the look of each web site, will clicking on the upgrade button in the backend mean all the CSS will need to be uploaded again?
  3. I thought it would be easy to alter the wording on the bottom of the store emails/newsletters so instead of it reading Best wishes from the (store name) staff, however I just can't seem to find where to alter it. The store is Cubecart 6, Foundation Template.

I have a client who has over a thousand products on a Cubecart Version 3.0.20 He really should have the latest Cubecart Version 6.0.8 however the thought of putting all the products on again isn't a job that either my client nor myself really relishes the thought of doing. Is there any simple way of moving the products from the 3.0.20 Cubecart into a 6.0.8 Cubecart? Also what files were different in the 3.0.21 version compared to the 3.0.20 version and are there any benefits to updating these files?
  5. Manual sounds like a better idea for my client. Is there any documentation on how to get the best out of the Newsletters? how they work, a youtube link or anything you know of, please?
  6. Is there a way of changing the order of how the address boxes are displayed at the Checkout please? (Cubecart 6, Foundation Skin) I've altered a few files but nothing has worked. It's currently displaying Postcode, Country, County, however it should be displayed at County, Postcode, Country.
  7. Is it possible to have a style which is independent for the Continue Shopping button?

On the Advanced Search (Cubecart 6, Foundation Skin), it lists all the Manufacturers with a tick box beside, if you tick the box, it doesn't bring up all the products for that Manufacturer, which is a bit confusing for the customer. However if you type the name of the Manufacture in either the Advanced Search box or the normal search box, it does. Have I done something wrong somewhere? or is that a way to make these tick boxes work as a customer would believe they should?
  9. Is there a way that when New Items are added to the web site (Cubecart 6.0.8) that all those on the Mailing List can be automatically emailed?
  10. Thank you, we have a good working relationship, it just made me wonder when he logged into the Admin that the warning would still say 5.2.12, I didn't realise the importance of the ini.inc.php only that I'd seen it mentioned on another thread where it had been altered to read 5.2.17
  11. If I replace the 5.2.12 version of the Ini.inc.php is it possible for it still to read 5.2.17 in the Admin panel? otherwise my client might be disbelieving that I've actually done anything? Thank you for the file advice, much appreciated.
  12. I have a client who has a 5.2.12 site who doesn't wish to spend much to do an upgrade but unless I do something his site will go down on 7th December when the Software Licence is switched off. I've updated the classes/admin.class.php to the 5.2.17 version and the ini.inc.php is this enough to keep his site running for a while longer please?

  14. WOW that was just too simple, all that faffing about I did and I could just alter it on both the Catalogue and Common lists. Thank you so much for all your help. Note to Others: Admin meaning backend of web site (not files), Languages can be found on the left hand panel near the bottom
  15. Yes I did, I changed Used to Pre-owned. So I've put both the products.index.php and the definitions.xml files back to how they were originally? If stead of changing the Used to Pre-Owned maybe I should just add a new Condition of Pre-Owned, would that be better? Where is the language phrase editor please?
  16. I'm using Cubecart 6 and Foundation Skin: In the product Specification I want it to show if a product is New or Pre-Owned. I've altered the products.index.php file (admin/skins/default/templates/products.index.php) and then I altered the definitions.xml file (language/definitions.xml). However on the backend for the product it displays a drop down selection box for Used & Pre-Owned, when I select Pre-Owned for the product and look at it on the front end (after refreshing) the area beside the Condition in the Specification box is blank.
  17. How can I centre the Login/register, £GBP, Shopping Basket Icon and the Search Bar so that it appears centrally in this area. I am using the Foundation Template. I've tried altering the code but my coding knowledge is letting me down.

  19. I'm just building a cubecart V6 for a clothing boutique who wishes to have a Appointment Booker on her web site. I've looked at available plugin's and there is nothing available. Can anyone suggest anything, please.

  21. Thank you Ian, I've done two other web sites using the V6 Foundation and they've been well received by those clients. This web site started out as Foundation but the client insisted about the Product Zoom feature, hence the change. Foundation Skin I really like and it's nice to custom. Like you I really don't think skins should be compatible with V6 if they are not responsive as this is how I made my mistaking thinking that because it was compatible with V6 then it must be responsive.
