CC6 Beta Install Image question

I have already installed v6beta and checked DropTables. But I wanted to see if I could keep my current products, images, etc., if I did another install using a copy of my in use v5 database. I did NOT check Drop Tables.

 

I did have to copy my old config over to the new beta database.

I can see my products with categories, but no images.

The images are in Filemanager. So I figured I needed to Update File List - that wiped ALL the images out.

I copied the images over from current database to this one.

Made sure file permissions on images folder is 7555.

Tried Update File List again - again wiped out all the images.

 

Is this a bug, or just because the beta doesn't use a proper Upgrade Option?

Or is there some way to do this work with the beta?

Database? Did you copy the images from /images/source/ to the new installation?

 

 

Note:

I just got done fighting with my installation of CC6 after connecting it to (another) existing CC5 database. This CC5 installation had installed several plugins and code snippets.

 

CC6, on connecting to this database, did not like enabled plugins where the plugin folders were not present. Did not like it at all!!!

 

I had to disable all the plugins and snippets using the CC5 installation, then clear the SQL cache of the CC6 installation.

 

But copying over the images from /images/source/ worked.
