jka
I have a customer that would like to pay using 3 different cards for a single order. Is this possible to even accomplish in cube cart? Thanks.
ayz1
Can they not make three smaller orders? Or you could send them three separate PayPal invoices for the required amounts?
bsmither
I have not seen a payment gateway, where CubeCart manages the form and collects the CC data, to do this. An exception would be the Print Order Form where the customer can enter whatever info and instruction that is needed and the store owner processes it accordingly. On the other hand, when CubeCart sends the customer to an external payment page (PayPal, Amazon, Authorize SIM, etc), making the payment is out of CubeCart's control. In this case, it will be a feature of the payment processor you have signed up with whether that processor will allow for a transaction to be split across more than one payment instrument. jka
I was thinking about this a bit. This feature can be accomplished in CC with proper coding or modification. This means we need to allow a "check box" allowing multiple payment cards. This way the customer can go to the payment gateway form and enter custom $$ and card #. Then he will come back to the checkout again and will see the balance $$. He can once again go to the payment gateway form and pay balance $$ with another card. bsmither
I see a wacky round-about way, but it will be time-consuming. CubeCart sells Gift Certificates. So, as an example scenario, the customer can purchase a number of GCs, each with different payment instruments. If I recall, CubeCart will accept more than one GC entry on the checkout page - entered in one at a time. Whatever outstanding balance that may exist after the GCs have accounted for most of the total, can be paid by a final payment instrument.
