HC Design
I have Kurouto and in the categories there is one called "sale" and it even says underwares. I don't want the text underware but can't find where to delete it and couldn't find anything about it here at the forum eather. Is there anyone that can help me? The site is www.fynda.hcdesign.nu
Dirty Butter
Welcome to the Forums, @HC Design! Look in the Admin>Store Settings>Features tab and see if you have Sales Mode set to Disabled. Assuming you DO want the Sales category, see what you have in the skin template box.sale_items.php. It should be {$LANG.catalogue.title_saleitems}. Assuming it is, then go to the Language definitions file and see what is written there for catalogue.title_saleitems. The other place to look would be to look in Admin>Settings>Languages>Your own flag>Catalogue phrases> near the bottom you will find what you have in title_saleitems. bsmither
What language pack are you using? I think there may be some interference with the language phrases and what CubeCart wants to see to determine if a category name is triggering the "Sale Items" seo path. HC Design
Thank you Dirty Butter! Now I know how to change it so it doesn't show on the site. However "underware" is still showing I downloaded the Swedish language pack from CC bsmither
bsmither
Still showing where? What could be translated to "Featured Product"? By the way, I am learning that the ISO code for Swedish could actually be "sv-SE". If so, what does the "sv" part stand for? Also, read this conversation. You may need to make an edit in the email language file.
HC Design
You can see it right above the picture with the team Valor bracelet as "Underkläder" "Featured product" could be "Aktuell produkt" in Swedish. And I have no idea what the sv stands for, I am not so used to the codes in web sites.
Dirty Butter
Do a search on the definitions.xml file for that underware word and see if it's in there somewhere
HC Design
I found this: <string name="title_saleitems" introduced="5.0.0"><![CDATA[On Sale]]></string>
Dirty Butter
I've never seen what a different language pack looks like. Is THAT in the Swedish language definitions?
HC Design
Oups, sorry it was in the wrong file. I found it now! <string name="title_saleitems"><![CDATA[REA UNDERKLÄDER]]></string> Is it just to delete the text UNDERKLÄDER ?
Dirty Butter
Yes - That should fix it.
bsmither
ISO-639 codes make it easy to reference a language without having to explicitly name the language (which would be written differently depending who was doing the writing). So, accordingly, "sv" is the main language code. CubeCart uses this to keep track of the language packs. A language pack named "sv-SV" would be mainland Sweden, while "sv-FI" would be a language pack specific to Finnish who speak Sweden. (Just like "en-US" is for United States people who speak a variant of English). Searching through the language pack, I find: Line 212: string: all_sale_items = Alla REA underkläder Line 441: string: title_sale_items = REA UNDERKLÄDER Also finding line 450, 1250, and 1252 What would a good word be for "Sales"? HC Design
I deleted it but it is still there... A word for sale in Swedish is Rea
bsmither
Be sure to find and edit all five locations I mentioned earlier. Then, in admin, Maintenance, Rebuild tab, check the "Clear language cache" and Submit.
Dirty Butter
You have to clear the language cache to get rid of the old term and clear out the browser cache too probably. Change all those other places that have the underware in them LOL
bsmither
For "title_sale_items", the English phrase is: "On Sale". So, you may want to use a phrase more expressive than simply REA. What would Till Salu! translate to? Or Realisation, Utförsäljning?
HC Design
Till salu is like, for sale. But that doesn't meen it's on sale (cheaper) just that you can buy it :/ So i think Rea is the word
bsmither
What about the other two words I've added since you last read the post?
Dirty Butter
I don't use the Sale side bar box, but when I did show Sales Items I called it Featured Sale Item, since it's random.
HC Design
Oh sorry, it's middle of the night so I missed that... Realisation is Rea but short Utförsäljning is like Rea 1 minute ago, Dirty Butter said: I don't use the Sale side bar box, but when I did show Sales Items I called it Featured Sale Item, since it's random. I don't need that box, how do I delete it?
bsmither
Also, line 406. The phrase will not have the context of being on sale (discounted). This phrase for "title_feature" will be a phrase used for an item making a special appearance or maybe a limited time availability. In reality, CubeCart just grabs a random product from the entire inventory and shows it. But we can adjust the query to give us what we want. Dirty Butter
Find the call for box.sale_items.php in main.php and comment that section out.
HC Design
Thank you both! I will look in to this a bit more in the morning. I think I need some sleep now because only the codes makes me scratch my head and when it's not in my own language it makes me scratch even more Good night, and maybe I will come back if I can't solve it. bsmither
Also, verify line 1269, for "enter_email_signup".
