kealan Posted December 2, 2015 Share Posted December 2, 2015 Hello Cubecart Forums, I seem to be having an issue and I am not entirely sure where to start, our store is pumping out the below approx every 1-2 seconds in the error log. The store seems to be working fine at the moment but any attempts to use in inbuilt error log viewer results in general unpleasantness. I downloaded the log to view it but cant find an editor happy with the entire 1Gb file but I managed to scrape out the below. Any thoughts? bsmither Posted December 2, 2015 Share Posted December 2, 2015 Please send the above snip from the error log to your hosting provider."open_basedir restriction in effect" for a folder that seems to be part of the "include_path" of your hosted account."cache data not written" seems to be CubeCart has determined it can use MemCacheD but it is not set up correctly.There is a conversation here that instructs you to add a statement to globals.inc.php which will force CubeCart to use a file-based caching method. As Brian said, these are both questions for your hosting company although the question about the different caching options is / should be a lot more involved. Memcached and APC are generally used for different types of caching (you have php opcode caching functions as well as database result caching) although even more confusingly, you can you APC for both !APC is very quickly becoming obsolete as OpCache is now the defacto PHP opcode caching function and we either use a combination of OpCache and Memcached (as opposed to Memcache) for our primary CubeCart hosting servers BUT use OpCache and Redis on our Magento servers.In my opinion, Redis (or Varnish) are better than Memcached but neither of these are supported by CubeCart yet although there is a github issue requesting the support for Redis that I opened a while agoIan Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
