International USPS Are Showing USA Domestic Rates

Before the last upgrade the USPS had calculated International USPS rates wrong.

I deleted the old USPS plug-in, cleared cache, etc, then installed the new USPS plug-in set it up wiht both domestic and international and am still getting the same error.

What it is doing is calculating US Domestic rates, showing them, and never going to the International rates.

We have added a $3.50 "handling" fee to help offset the cost of signature required, so if you check the post office rates at https://postcalc.usps.com/ you will see our rate is different than either domestic or international.

However, First-Class Package International Service to South Africa on a 4 ounce package should be USD 13.25 NOT USD 6.84 which is domestic USA first class package rates (with the extra $3.50)

See attached

How do I get it to calculate or show and use International Rates when the shipment is for International, and the buyer enters an International address for ship to address?

By the way, the error in International rates that just happened, the buyer entered an international Bill to, and International Ship To address. Both in South Africa.

Please examine the admin, Request Log. There should be the Rate Request and the Response by USPS.

Also, please let us know if this particular order was made by a "ghost" customer. A "ghost" customer is able to checkout but not first create an account.

We may need for you to look at specific database contents outside of CubeCart (that is, phpMyAdmin).

This seems to be what the USPS gave you:

<Service ID="12">124.75
<Service ID="1">58.95
<Service ID="2">47.00
<Service ID="11">93.95
<Service ID="9">71.95
<Service ID="16">33.95
<Service ID="24">33.95
<Service ID="25">33.95
<Service ID="15">13.25

CubeCart will automatically choose (unless the code is edited) to show as the default selection to the customer the least expensive shipping choice from among all the enabled shipping modules.

Do you have any other shipping module enabled?

There was a very old complaint -- I am confident it has been fixed -- that a customer could use one delivery address, get a shipping rate assigned to that basket, then at the last step of checking out, change the delivery address but CubeCart would fail to dump any previously acquired shipping rates.

I notice and have to ask, why is your store's address shown as the billing address in the image posted above?

Also, please let us know if this particular order was made by a "ghost" customer. A "ghost" customer is able to checkout but not create an account.

We may need for you to look at specific database contents outside of CubeCart (that is, phpMyAdmin).

I created the account as a test account. I then tested with a delivery address similar to one of a customer who placed an order.

When I placed the order, I started by logging in with the test account.

Then I selected the item.

Then I went to checkout, the system automatically calculates shipping from the company address, NOT the customer Ship To address at that point.

The customer has not been asked to enter an address, so I clicked on checkout, and the system defaulted to the bill to address, I was able to enter a new ship to address. Which I did for South Africa.

The shipping charges did not change after entering the new Ship To address.

When we have had customers in the USA who place orders, the system at first defaults to shipping charges as if we were shipping to ourselves from our address.

Then when the customer enters their actual Ship To address, the system corrects the Domestic rates to their actual Ship To.

Unfortunately, this is not happening on International.
