Millie Moore
I have several categories that have multiple pages that are showing up in my seo as having duplicate descriptions and duplicate titles. How can I fix this in v6.0.11? Millie Moore

Dirty Butter
Welcome to the forums, Millie! Are you talking about the page=2 type listing Google picks up as duplicates?

Dirty Butter
I added this to robots.txt: Disallow: /*page= and further down Allow: /*page=all I had tried just using the Disallow, but Google screamed when I left out the page=all line. I didn't have a robots.txt so I created one. I put it in my shop's folder, then I ran my seo refresh checklist. However, the list is still there of multiple pages is still there. Now I did see a robots.txt in my main directory before the shop's folder. Is that where these things should have gone?
Dirty Butter
I have a robots file in both places. But don't expect Google to stop complaining as soon as you "fix" the issue. It takes months sometimes for their Diagnostic messages to catch up with corrected issues on Google. VERY frustrating.
Millie Moore
ok I have a robots file in both places as well so I'll just have to wait it out. yes it is VERY frustrating as you say.
Dirty Butter
All you can do is re-submit your robots.txt file to Google from time to time and gradually remove the urls. Eventually the complaints will fall off.
