jka
I have a separate home page and Cubecart is part of the subdomain page when a customer decides to buy. In other words we have integrated Cubecart into our regular website. Question: Is it possible to call the Newsletter subscribe function outside of cube cart? into our home page? Thanks. Also is it possible to collect First/Last Name along with email address for the mailing list?
bsmither
There is no established API to have things done to Cubecart, or have CubeCart do things outside of CubeCart. That said, there is the ability to get downloaded sales reports (and other output) generated by CubeCart by using a specially crafted URL that points to your store. That said, a plugin (for example, the PayPal gateway) would respond to a GET or POST and perform whatever the plugin was coded to do. ayz1
A couple of things you could consider. One is to sign up to mailchimp and integrate one of their forms into your homepage the other is to add your own form to collect the data but this would require manually inputting the information into your cubecart database. Dirty Butter
I use Mailchimp code instead of the CC subscription code. I send my newsletters via MailChimp, so they are automatically throttled. There is a limit of 2000 people on your lists - above that there is a charge.
Dirty Butter
I've recently purchased SemperFiWebService's MailChimp plugin, and am very pleased with the way it works. @jka Daren added the First Name to the subscription form for unregistered subscribers to suit my needs. https://www.semperfiwebservices.com/mailchimp-cc6-plugin.html
jka
I was thinking if I could use an iframe and directly call the CC code for mail list registration.
